Wednesday

was off Wednesday and all we did was hang out and play. The boys are all over the place! They love to climb the two steps in the playroom and still haven't figured out how to get down. I'm trying to teach them how to wave "hi" and "bye", as well as clap. They have absolutely zero interest in doing either thing. Oh well. We are also working on trying to hold up one finger to show everyone that we are one year old... This is also not quite working out. Consistency is key I suppose!

Weekend in review!

Thursday I worked and missed my sweet nuggets like crazy.

Friday we played all day and made a Sonic trip for mommys happy hour, diet cherry limeade! The boys are starting to protest being in their car seats more and more. Unfortunately for them, they just passed a law here that they have to remain read facing until they are two.

Saturday we got up and played while daddy had to go into the office to get some work done. Nick got home around 3:30, right as the boys were waking up from their nap. We loaded them up and headed to Nordstrom Rack. The LPs did pretty good. They got a little frustrated after about 30 minutes so we checked out and walked down to Central Market. I ordered a coffee while Nick got an ice cream that he shared with the boys. They LOVED it!!! It was so fun to watch them eat it. Their faces scrunched up because it was so cold but once they tasted the sweetness of it, they were opening their mouth, demanding more. It was too cute!

After Central Market, we walked across the street to a little Mexican Food restaurant that reminded me of a Mexican Pei Wei. You place your prefer when you walk in and then they being it to you. We ordered the LPs their first official item off the kids menu. A cheese quesadilla. And they ate almost every bite of it! Along with mommy and daddy's chicken. And puffs of course.

Daddy gave them his lemon and it was hysterical watching their reactions. Pierce loved it and kept going back for more. Knox - not so much. I uploaded the videos to Instagram. They were adorable!

After dinner we headed home and put the boys to bed. Nick and I were going to rent a movie but ended up watching a movie on tv. Pretty soon it was lights out for us too.

Sunday morning we got up and Nick got some more work done while we played after their first nap, we packed up and headed to Landon and Lauryn's for a pool day.

First stop was a sandwich shop on Main Street to pick up lunch. Everly Belle will be here any day now and we needed to make sure she was getting something good!

Nick helped Landon plant trees around their property while Lauryn and I played with the boys in the pool. Next summer will be so much fun. The boys will have had swim lessons and EB will be able to play in a float. We cannot wait!!!

They boys had a great time. I put them down for their nap in their pack and play and joined Lauryn outside. About 20 minutes later I went to check on the boys. Pierce was sitting up crying and Knox was passed out in the corner. I rocked P for a few minutes and then laid him back down. I knew he needed to nap and was just fighting it. I headed back outside and checked on them again about 30 minutes later. Both of them were up ( I don't think P ever slept) and Knox was playing while Pierce was still crying. I nursed them and then they played with some of the toys we had brought while Lauryn and I caught up inside. The big boys slaved away on the trees and got so many planted!

It was getting close to the boys bedtime but the guys were on a roll. Lauryn, the LPs and I, went out to the chicken coup and picked up the eggs that the chickens had laid. Lauryn washed them off for us and I am SO EXCITED to eat them. Farm fresh eggs for real!!!!

We headed back in and I fed the boys while the guys finished up. Lauryn and I kept them entertained with Cheerios and water after they ate their pouches.

Landon and Nick cooled off in the pool and then came inside. We loaded up the boys and headed out. The way the car was packed, you would have thought we had been away for the weekend. Between their activity table, pool bag, floatie and bumbos, Molly the Denali was at capacity!!!

The LPs didn't make it two minutes in the car before falling asleep. When we got home, I grabbed diapers and their oils and we got everything ready for bedtime routine. We ended up doing everything in their room to try and keep them sleepy. It went pretty well. They drank their bottles and went down. Surprisingly, P fought his sleep. I knew it was because he was over tired and that he would work it out. Luckily he did and they slept like logs until 6:45.

Monday we played all day. I also discovered where all of the pacifiers have been disappearing to...
Thanks P!

If they aren't behind the crib, then they are here:

Paci theif!

We Made another Sonic trip and daddy was able to get off work early so we could go to the grocery store. We met him at Kroger a little after 5 and got our things for the week. We headed home, unpacked our goodies and fed the boys.

Knox had his first choking incident that was a little scary. Nick had cut up some watermelon for the LPs and I think K got a little too excited. He shoved a few pieces in his mouth and choked. He was still able to cough and move air. A few swats on the back and he coughed them all up. He was hesitant to get back in his high chair but I put him back in and they finished their meal. Won't be the last time this happens I'm sure. Nick felt terrible but I know it's just the start of many more incidents!

They went to bed and we watched the Big Brother episode we had missed on Sunday night. Then it was pumping time and lights out!!!

Tuesday I worked and got off early because Nick had a day trip to TN. I got home as fast as I could but it took me over an hour. Lena had the boys fed and their lavender and oil on. All I had to do was woombie them and give them their bottles. It was a tremendous help.

The boys went down without an issue and I got bottles done after I took a relaxing bath and enjoyed a small glass of wine!!!! It's the little things.

I love these two boys more than they'll ever know. Life with them is so sweet!

Tutu and Papa

Thursday I worked and on my way home, I called my parents. They were already practically in town. Woohoo!

I was in the LPs room giving Knox his paci when I heard a dog bark. It was Louis! My parents had made it safe and sound.

We unloaded the car and visited for a while. Soon it was time for bed. We said goodnight and hit the hay.

Friday morning we got up, I fed the boys and we played!!!! After breakfast, a nap and showers for all, we headed up to Esparza's for lunch!  On the way, we stopped at Legacy Cakes and ordered the boys birthday cake and smash cakes. I am so excited!!! We are doing something similar to this:

Esparza's was fun as usual. Not only is it good food but it is very baby friendly. Mom and I both ordered the lunch fajitas and the LPs got their fair share of some Mexican food. Pierce sat next to me and let me tell you, I think the floor got as much food as P did.

Knox got Tutu's fajitas. I think more got in his little belly.

After Esparza's, we headed to Target. Knox napped while we shopped and Pierce took it all in. He didn't want to miss a thing. We got some staples for the house and most importantly, staples for the LPs. Diapers, oatmeal, PUFFS... The necessities!!!! Thank you Tutu and Papa!

We headed back to the house and unloaded our goodies. Our interior designer, Melanie was at our house with our recovered chairs for the living room. I LOVE them!!! They turned out SO awesome!!! My mom worked hard fixing up the scuffs on the chair legs and they look like new!!!! Awesome Craig's list find Nick Job!

We played with the boys and gave them supper and a much needed bath. Then it was bed time.

We all hung out upstairs watching Shark Tank and What Would You Do?  I worked on some stuff for the boys birthday party and enjoyed an awesome bottle of La Crema mom brought up!

Saturday I was on call. I was very surprised that my phone had not rang as I had seen on Facebook that another coworker had already been called in. When I saw her post, I went ahead and got ready anyway.

We had a huge breakthrough Saturday!!! Both the Little Presidents started crawling on all 4's!!! It's not consistent yet but they are both doing it and I am so proud!!!!

Around 10, my phone rang. It was time to head to Big B. To be honest, I have no idea why they let me stay home so long. It was so busy. There were only 2 open rooms when I got there. Although, I only had one triage patient the whole time I was there, I was able to relieve people for lunch and watch patients while others had deliveries. Much to my surprise, I was able to leave around 4:30. Just in time to come home, nurse the boys and head to dinner with the fam!

We headed to Cottonpatch Cafe. Side note :Cottonpatch was my first real job - I was a waitress ;). The boys did really well and we discovered that they really love rolls!

Teething....✅

Get in my belly!

Trying to drink daddy's beer...

After dinner, we headed back to the casa and played before bedtime.
I love my daddy.

Playing at our table!

Standing inside baby jail!

After the LPs went down, we divulged in some dessert we had brought home from CP and watched a movie called Aloha. It was really good and no one fell asleep!

Sunday morning we got up and around and after the boys morning nap, we headed to the mall for brunch.

Sunday fun day with daddy!

We waited in line at Breadwinners for about 20 minutes before we were sat. We had Louis with us so it was time to dine Al fresco! Once again, the LPs were rock stars. They took down a croissant as well as some puffs and muffins.

Knox

Pierce

We shopped a little and I ran into Nikki!!! She has not seen the boys since October last year. My how they have grown!!! It was good to catch up and we made plans for later this month. I cannot wait to see her girls.

We shopped for a while and then Tutu and Papa had to take off. We said our "see you soons" and then the boys and I headed to the J Crew dressing room to eat.

We ran into Nikki again at Dillard's where Nick was getting some things to spruce up his work wardrobe. He got three nice suit jackets, some pants and a few new white shirts he was in dire need of.

The boys were getting restless and did not nap well so it was time to head home. They each took a little cat nap and then once home, we played and let them blow off some energy before bed.

Nick took the mama Roo over to Landon and Lauryn. Everly Belle is due soon and she hopefully will love it as much as the boys did. While he was dropping the Roo off, I got the boys down for the night. They were exhausted.

Nick and I did wine and cheese night while watching Big Brother and then it was night night for us too.

It was a busy and fun weekend and I loved having my parents here. They won't see the boys until they are one! How can that be???

11 months

Oh my sweet LPs. You are officially 11 months old and mommy is in birthday planning mode. I knew this day would come, but I didn't expect it to come so fast. You two are growing like weeds and discovering new things daily.

Pierce, you sure are fierce my little one. You are still on the petite side but you don't let anything stop you. You are go-go-go ALL the time. You don't want to miss a thing!!! You are definitely a mama's boy and don't like to have me out of your sight. You are very vocal and everyone knows exactly how you feel. You are smart and fearless. We have a baby gate in which you have reached up to try and unlatch like mommy and daddy do to get in and out. Thankfully it is tricky and you won't be able to get out for a while. You have gotten brave and will let go of whatever you are holding onto, to stand all alone. You will stand anywhere from 10 - 30 seconds before toppling over. You lead with your head everywhere you go. This has led to lots of bumps and bruises for you. You have recently mastered the art of crawling and are officially up on all 4's. You still have yet to find a food you don't like - although half of it ends up on the floor because you eat by the fist full. You still have days where you spit up quite a bit and mommy has to have burp cloths readily available. You are getting very difficult to change on the changing table. You try and roll away 95% of the time. Mommy likes to count to 10 with you while doing diaper changes because sometimes it calms you down. You're still in size 2 diapers and are working on cutting some teeth. Mommy can feel the lump in your mouth and is waiting for it to break the skin. You love to reach for things you know you cannot have and you protest when you're told no. You love to shake your head "no" and you definitely know your name. Pulling mommys hair as well as your brother's is one of your favorite pastimes. This causes lots of tears - by both parties. Pierce, you are so sweet and funny. Mommy and daddy love you more than words can express. Stay spunky little one.

Knox, you are a sweetheart. You're very thoughtful and you take time to observe what is going on around you. At the same time, you love to explore and you have become quite fond of climbing the two stairs in the play room/ media room. You are very proud of yourself when you accomplish this task. Unfortunately for you, you haven't quite figured out how to get down the stairs and will cry until you are assisted down. You love to bounce - on anything and everything. You are so strong and independent. You like to be left alone to play and are very fond of your Leap Pad Computer Tutu and Papa got you. You LOVE to dance and anytime one of your toys plays music, you boogie, swaying side to side and nodding your head. You occasionally will get up on all 4's to crawl but you still prefer to army crawl. You're quick too! You now have 2 teeth and have handled them coming in like a champ. You would never even know you were getting them except for the fingers in your mouth and excessive drooling ;).  You love your paci and when you nap, you like to stand in your crib (before you fall asleep) and throw them over the side. We must strap you down when you're in your high chair because you love to turn around and look out the window. You've even attempted to climb out a time or two. You love the table mommy and daddy got you, especially when it plays you music. Feeding you has become a little challenging. You are very good about eating your puffs and Cheerios but if a food is a texture you're not too keen on, you have started spitting it out at mommy. You still love bananas and you and Pierce are thoroughly enjoying watermelon season. We have bought lots of watermelon and it's usually gone in a day or two. You're figuring out how to use a sippy cup but mostly like to chew on it. Knox, you have the sweetest disposition. Mommy and daddy love you more than words can express. Stay sweet and thoughtful little one.

Sick

Well we dealt with a sicky this weekend. Friday night, Nick started to complain of feeling weak and having a headache. He never has headaches - that's usually my thing- and he fell asleep super early.

Saturday morning Nick woke up with the sweats and a fever. He spent most of the day in bed. Around 2, he came upstairs and told me to go get my nails done. The one thing I really wanted to do this weekend.

I went to Michael's and picked up a few crafty things to decorate for the boys first birthday and then tried out the nail salon next door. It was awesome and they even gave me a mimosa! Much needed for this mommy. On my way home, I stopped and picked up some cold meds and throat lozenges for the sicky.

The boys slept most of the time I was gone. In fact, Knox was still asleep when I got home and Pierce and daddy were hanging out on the couch. Almost immediately upon my return, Nick headed back to bed. I knew he was really feeling bad then.

Prior to falling asleep for daddy.... Time to lower the cribs!

We had plans to meet Jeff, Alma, Lauren and Steven for dinner. Rachael was going to come watch the boys and we were going to have a night out in Fort Worth. I texted the girls and Rachael to let them know we weren't going to be able to make it.

The boys and I had a fun day playing but boy did we miss daddy. This mama was exhausted. It really does take two sometimes.

Eating French toast mommy made for breakfast!

I like eggs mommy! Brother - not so much.

I made Nick some homade chicken soup in hopes of soothing his throat and helping him feel better. After dinner, I headed to the grocery store. It was time for meal prep! I did this last weekend and it helped so much. We had a variety of things to choose from each night instead of the usual chicken, salad and sweet potato that we usually do. On this weeks menu- chicken, tacos and lots of fruits and veggies.

Sunday morning, Nick was still in a world of hurt so the boys and I tried to let him sleep and went immediately upstairs to eat and play.

We had lots of watermelon Sunday. We love watermelon!

Daddy got lots of rest and when he got up and tried to get around, I requested that he please go to the doctor. Care Now was calling Nick's name. Diagnosis: tonsillitis. Yuck and boo. Poor Nick.

The remainder of the day, the LPs and I played, napped and ate.

Monday, Nick stayed home from work and the LPs and I nursed, ate, napped and most importantly, played!

Tuesday I worked. Nick stayed home again while Lena was with the babes. Nick is on the upswing. Horray!!!! I was fortunate enough to get off early and was able to help put the boys to bed. It was so good to snuggle the nugs after being gone all day. I sure do miss them when I'm gone. And I am so incredibly thankful that Nick is on the up and up.

FriYAY!!!

Thursday was my Papa's birthday. I called him on my way to work and we chatted for a while. I was able to be the second ( after my mom of course) person to wish him a "happy Birthday"!!!!  I also talked to him when I got off work. I was excited to hear that the Edible Arrangement I had ordered, made it to the Jimerfield casa and that it was yummy.

My favorite picture of me and the birthday boy!!!

Lena texted me this picture while I was at work:

She said " they love their watermelon". They sure do!

Friday was an uneventful day. During the LPs first nap I did a Pilates DVD. When they woke up, they ate apples and cherries along with some Cheerios! They ❤️ Cheerios. We played until their next nap and I did a cardio DVD at that time. Had to make up for missing my work out yesterday 😉.

No sooner had I finished my cardio, did the Budget Blinds guy, Jeff, show up. He had given us an estimate about a month ago for shutters and blinds and now it's time to take the plunge. An expensive plunge. But we took it. We should have blinds in 2-3 weeks and shutters in 6-8. The sooner the better.

We played until about 6. The boys learned a new trick...
Climbing stairs....

And not quite sure how to get back down them....

And then on the crawl for mommy...

It was time to start our bedtime routine. I sliced up a banana for the boys and let them have at it.

  They loved it!

They then had some green beans and oatmeal. And then it was time for a bath. They love splashing around in the water and squeal with delight!

Now they are sleeping and Nick and I are playing for a full nights rest.
