Christmas 2015

Boy oh boy, am I WAY behind or what?!? Let's do a little catching up!

The second week of November, Grammy and Grandpa (G2) came to Dallas and watched the LPs so Nick and I could go to Lubbock for a Tech game. It started out with a bang when we stopped in a small town to get gas and Molly the Denali wouldn't start. A sweet lady tried to help us jump our car with no luck. Then an older gentleman came along and offered to help us out. Keep in mind it was about 5:45 on a Friday night in the middle of no where town USA. Thankfully he was able to get the vehicle started and pointed us in the direction of an auto repair shop where we could get the battery replaced. Some sweet guys got us hooked up and by 7, we were back on our way to the LBK.

We had a great time and it was so fun to hang out with our old college buddies. Most of us have boys around the same age so we had lots to catch up on and talk about. It was a nice little get away but boy did we miss our nuggets.

It was my year to work Thanksgiving and I was having a rough day. It was so refreshing to see my sweet LPs and have thanksgiving lunch with them and my parents and Nick. I am a blessed lady and so thankful they were able to come visit me.

Christmas came way too fast as it usually does. Between an impromptu trip to Florida and work, it was busy, busy, busy.

I flew to San Antonio in mid December for what was supposed to be my best friend Heidi's baby shower. Unfortunately, she was put on bed rest and unable to make it. I choose to go home anyway sans kiddos for a weekend with my parents. Nick did a fabulous job with the LPs and I was thankful to have some one on one time with Tutu and Papa. I was able to get my hair done, see the Book of Mormon with mom, Lollie and MK, do a little shopping and get some much needed rest.

I came home Saturday afternoon and Sunday we hosted our Job Christmas at our casa. It was a fun day filled with family, food, presents and games. The LPs were spoiled rotten as were we.

I worked a few days before Christmas and mom and papa came in to help with the boys. I was third to be delayed on Christmas Eve and ended up only having to work for a few hours which was really nice. I came home and we had our traditional chicken tortilla soup Christmas Eve dinner.

The next morning we opened presents, ate cinnamon rolls and mom cooked a mini feast. We ate, drank and played games. It was a perfect day!

We had an amazing Christmas as we always do. Each year I think it cannot get better and then it does.

I took the last week of the year off from work and Grammy, the LPs and I followed my parents home to SA. We had a great time visiting with friends. We had a scrumptious brunch with Beth, Kyle and Wayne, did some shopping, met up with my moms neighbors, went to both of her dental offices to visit, watched a few chick flicks, and we had some yummy meals along the way. I was also able to get my teeth cleaned and got a new phone! (Hallelujah! And hence the reason for very few pics!) It was a great way to spend my week off and went way too fast.

Noel and I made the trek home to grapevine and I feel like the boys did really well. We stopped once for lunch and other than that, the boys did great.

New Years Eve was soon upon us and we brought in 2016 with Jeff, Laura, Jeff and Alma. We had fun just hanging out, sipping on beverages and smooching at midnight. It was low key and perfect. Thank you Grammy for watching the LPs so we weren't on the road with the crazy peeps!

G2 and the LPs before they went to Fl

Soon it was back to work and off to Florida for G2. We had a great visit with them and will see them when they head back this way come February/March.

So that's what we've been up to! I'm hoping to get back into blogging. It was a nice little break I took but I sure do miss it. I don't want to forget anything because the day to day- well it can be overwhelming - and I want to have something to look back on.

I'm hoping to have a 15/16 month update in the LPs posted soon so stay tuned!!! Lots of love!
