7 months!

You two are already 7 months old. I swear each month is going faster and faster! You two will be crawling, walking and talking in no time. Here's what you've been up to this month:

Pierce, you have become more patient. In the mornings you will wait for your bottle while I get your brother ready, when you used to cry loudly at this time.  I think you two are starting to recognize each other! You like to reach over and touch your brother after meals and you still continue to take his paci out of his mouth from time to time. You're still not a huge fan of tummy time but you have mastered the art of rolling from your front to your back - and you can do it both ways!!! I love watching you eat. You have a tendency to rub your eyes while chowing down and you grab at your bib and rub it against your face. It's the sweetest thing to watch. You try to hold your bottle and are getting pretty good at it!  You still LOVE to eat. So far you're loving bananas, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, and avocado. You still tend to fight your naps but you're starting to take one longer nap in the afternoon. You are a really good sleeper at night so mommy cannot complain. Pierce, you have a smile that can light up a room. You love to smile at the ladies and you LOVE your exercaucer. It's so much fun to make you laugh and mommy and daddy try our hardest everyday to hear your sweet giggles. We love you sweet P!

Knox, you have continued to find your voice and we love that. You have quite the opinion when it comes to meal time.  You have been letting us know that you see your bottle and you are ready to eat! It's a sweet yet demanding cry. You also love table food - bananas, sweet potato, peas and carrots. We tried avocado but you are your mommys son and you do NOT like it. You turned your head away and choked trying to get it out. You actually turned a little cyanotic around your mouth the last time you tried it which scared mommy. No more for you for now.  You are very good at tummy time. You too will turn over from side to side but will hang on your belly for a while. You also have been turning onto your belly occasionally in your sleep. Eventually you will cry out and mommy and daddy will flip you over and give you your paci back. You're still a very good napper but you tend to wake up more in the middle of the night. Knox, you have the sweetest little smile. You love your lion toy and mommy and daddy can really get you giggling with it! You have a gut laugh that makes everyone smile. You're a cuddler and mommy loves it when your bury your head into her shoulder. We love you Knoxwell!

My Little Presidents, you're growing so fast these days and it's so much fun to watch you grow and develop. Not only are you reaching milestones but your sweet little personalities are developing
Too. You're starting to recognize each other and interact together. You both will coo at each other - almost like you're having your own conversation. You're two of the sweetest, most well behaved, loving little boys and mommy and daddy could not be more proud of you both. Happy 7 months LPs!!!!

Wednesday with G2

Wednesday was a day with Grammy and Grandpa. They drove into town Tuesday and came over Wednesday to hang with the LPs.

Fierce Pierce

Knoxwell

The morning was spent with our cleaning lady cleaning, playing, and the boys eating and snacking on bananas. They LOVE bananas. It was then time for a nap before Grammy and Grandpa came over.

Nap time!

Grammy and Grandpa came over and I headed to a doctors appointment. I had planned on taking the boys with me so it was a huge relief that they were able to watch them.

G2 wanted to love on the boys - who can blame them!- so I was given a pass to go play!  After my appointment I headed to Target and bought a few things for my new desk area at the new house! I had bought a few decorating magazines and bellied up at Starbucks to read them. I then went to my favorite little boutique called Milk and Honey. M&H was disappointing so I headed home!  I received this picture while I was out:
Nap time for K and G. P was over it.

When I got home, we hung out for a while and fed the LPs again before G2 headed to Brent and Aubs house.

The boys started to loose it around 6:45 so I got them ready and in bed before Nick was able to get home from work. 😔. I hate it when we miss bedtime but that's the nature of work.

Knox had a ROUGH night. It was bad. He was up from 2:30 on. Which meant I was up too. At 3:45, I finally caved and gave him a bottle which helped a little. He was still pretty fussy and required several more pacifier replacements but he eventually fell back asleep. Poor K man. Needless to say, Thursday was rough for mommy! Oh well. I'm greatful they sleep well most of the time! Sweet dreams tonight little presidents!

Inspector

Monday, an inspector came to check out the house. The new homeowners, James and Emily, also came by. With so many people in the house, the LPs didn't know what to think. They sure were happy though!
Nap time right before the inspector arrived.

Pierce had an awesome 15 minutes of pure tummy time and he did fabulous!!! I personally think he was showing off for all of our guests. 😉

After playing for a while, I fed the LPs while I pumped. They love their bananas and milk! I then cleaned everything up while the inspector was...everywhere. I packed the boys up and we headed to Cafe of Life to get adjusted.

"We are ready for our adjustment!"

Dr. Tom adjusted the boys while Autumn adjusted me. It was much needed as I had noticed my left hip was acting up. I don't know what she did but I felt so much better!

Knox fell asleep and Pierce was screaming so I drove around until P drifted off. I drove by the house and saw there were multiple cars still there so I looped around the neighborhood for 30 minutes while the boys napped. It was getting close to 1 when I finally headed in because the boys were going to have to eat soon and they had woken up. I think my coming home made them wrap things up. They were all gathered around the kitchen table when I got home. By the time I was done changing both diapers, they were saying good bye. I hope it all went ok!

The LPs ate and played and then took an hour and a half nap! They both opened their eyes for a few minutes and then went right back to sleep. Sweet boys were worn out!

They ate again and then we played until daddy got home and then the four of us did more tummy time before bedtime. They both did awesome and then started to loose it around 7 so bedtime routine was started. Just another manic Monday at the Job casa!

Prayers please...

Last week when they came to take pictures of the house, we also showed it to a young couple that reminded me so much of me and Nick! They must have been looking for the same things that we had been looking for - an updated house in the M streets- because that evening, they put in an offer for full asking price!!! I had gone to bed early and Nick came in and asked me, " are you ready to start packing?"  Our house was sold before even going on the market!

I'm cautiously telling our news because we are still under contract and anything can happen so we need lots of prayers for everything to work out and go through. Also, we bought a house in Grapevine. Yep! We found the LPs future home where they will have lots of room to crawl and walk. It's right by baseball and soccer fields and Lake Grapevine.  The house is at the top of a cal -de -sac and they will have plenty of room to ride their bikes and play outdoors. Everything Nick and I really want for them is easily accessible at this new house. We are beyond thrilled.

Sunday, Tutu, Nick and I got the LPs ready and headed to see the new place.

First stop though was lunch at California Pizza Kitchen:

P likes avocado, brudder, not so much...

After CPK, we headed to the new house in Lake Pointe. Here are a few pics of the house. It's still being built so it's filthy and there's still a lot of work to be done:

The LPs love their new house! And all of us cannot wait to move in! Not only is it bigger for the boys but Nick's commute is 10-15 minutes. So much better than the hour to hour and a half it takes him now. God is so good!

Celebrate!!!

Saturday morning we got up and around, slowly. Mom and I showered and played with the boys. We fed them carrots and Knox couldn't get them in his mouth fast enough. It's pretty hysterical to watch. He screams at you, demanding more, in between bites.

Tutu and her LPs.

After we bathed the boys and got them ready, off we went. We decided to hit up Nordstrom Rack and we found a few things that we couldn't live without. The boys did a pretty good job until Fierce Pierce started to loose it towards the end. Nothing a little snuggle from mommy ( and not being in his car seat) couldn't fix!

We then headed to their first birthday party for Gavin. He is my best friend from nursing schools son. I cannot believe he is 6!?!? Where does the time go? Anyway,  Tutu and I were both starving and it was just about time to feed the boys so we stopped at a favorite of ours, Abuelos. (In case you don't know - mom and I could eat Mexican food every single day and it would be alright.). It was also time for the LPs next meal so wrestled up their bottles and fed them too!

Knox

Pierce

Once we were all stuffed silly, we headed to our first birthday party celebration! The boys did great. Prior to leaving the house, I doused them in Theives and coconut oil. Theives is an essential oil that wards off illnesses. Since I didn't know if there would be any kids with colds there, I thought it would be wise to try and exhaust all my options to avoid them getting sick. We also avoided letting too many people get too close to them. Mostly adults. Thankfully the kids just wanted to play, so they were off running around and being kids. It's crazy to think that this time next year, that's what the boys will be doing.

Tutu and Bethany with the LPs

Tutu was smart and recommended packing their pajamas with us. At their second to last feed, we changed them into their pjs and visited for a little while longer. The boys knew it was past their bedtime and started to fuss so we loaded up and headed home. We had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. I even met a lady who had twins at 24 weeks and a lady who is 24 weeks pregnant with twins. Our blessings are astounding. God is so good and faithful. I hope He knows and that I tell Him, how incredibly grateful I am for everything we've been given. Our path could have been so much different had our babies arrived earlier and I will never be able to thank Him enough for allowing me to carry them as long as I did. Also, I feel like I am a tool he can use to help other moms - especially those of twins, and for that I am thankful. I want to be a resource to anyone who desires my two cents.

We got the boys home, slathered them in lavender and coconut oil, changed them into their night time diapers, said their prayers, and fed them their final bottle. Knox had a rough time falling asleep but after a few rocks and burps by mommy and a final burp by Tutu, off to dreamland he went.

I ran to the store because we needed diapers desperately! The boys had been living in nighttime diapers and those bad boys are expensive! We needed our regular ones with the yellow lines (they turn blue when babies pee). I also picked up a few more things we needed and then headed home to make bottles. I put the groceries away and mom and I dried bottles and then assembled them.

I pumped while we watched Shark Tank and was falling asleep while pumping. As soon as I was done, it was bedtime. About an hour later, Nick made it home. It was so good to see him through my sleepy haze!

The boys had a pretty good night although they haven't been getting as much sleep as they're used to and have been a little more cranky than normal during the day. We will get back on track though!

Fun with Tutu

Friday we had a busy day! Tutu (my mom) flew in late Thursday night to help me with the boys. Nick is on a guys gulf trip to Arizona so mommy would otherwise be flying solo. I was EXHAUSTED from the night before when Mr. K wouldn't sleep so I was out like a light as soon as Tutu got here.

Friday morning we got up and mom let me get ready while she played with the boys. Then it was off to the chiropractor for the Jobs. We had to wait for a while and the boys were getting restless. I ended up telling Kemba that we would take whoever was available instead of waiting for Autumn.

The LPs

We came home, I fed the boys and pumped while mom finished getting ready. They ate their banana and then had their bottles. Then we changed them into their cute little outfits for the day. Happy little campers!

We loaded up and headed for Z gallerie, pottery barn and Weirs. We looked at furniture and of course found some cure stuff at PB kids that the boys just had to have!!!

We ate lunch at On the Boarder which I had not been to since I was pregnant with the LPs. It was pretty good. The boys were napping when we first got there and they played with their toys until we were done eating. It was then their turn! I had warmed the bottles up while we were eating so they were ready to go!
The boys chowed down and then we loaded up and headed to the house. I needed to pick up my pump and put our goodies inside before we headed to the mall.

We swung by the house, I unloaded the car, grabbed my pump and we were off again. I pumped in the car and then for a while once we got to the mall. We then headed inside to do a little browsing.

The boys did pretty well. Pierce had a little bit of a moment as it was nearing meal time but other than that they were angels.

Around 6, I looked at my watch and realized how late it was. Where had the time gone? We parked it in a store called Madewell and fed and changed the boys. They were the hit of the store!!!

We stopped by a few more places and then headed home and played with the LPs for a while to get them good and tired. Tutu had Pierce gut laughing like no other. I just adore watching them laugh and smile their gummy little smiles. They melt my heart and I have to pinch myself that they are both mine!

Mom and I did bottles, ate popcorn and enjoyed a glass of wine while we watched dateline and 20/20. It was then  off to bed. I know we will have another fun filled day ahead of us and we need our beauty sleep!
